Terms of service

FFFD is a private drive for your files. You can upload, organize, play and share them, stream them from public links served around the world, and generate images with AI models, from the app, the fffd CLI, the MCP server or the API.

Beta

FFFD is in beta, so its features will change as we work on it. We'll give you reasonable notice before removing anything you rely on, or before shutting FFFD down.

Age

You must be 18 or older to use FFFD.

Keeping it secure

You're responsible for your account and everything done with it, including through API tokens you create. Keep your sign-in details and tokens to yourself, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used them.

Accurate details

Give us an email address you control, and keep it up to date. We use it for sign-in codes and anything important about your account.

Plans

Using FFFD takes a paid plan, unless an access code gives you access for a time. Plans differ in storage, AI images and image models, as shown on our pricing page.

Billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method each month.

Canceling

Cancel at any time in your account settings. Your plan runs until the end of the billing period you've paid for.

Refunds

If FFFD isn't for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and you'll get it. If you're in the EU or the UK, you can also cancel any new plan within 14 days of buying it for a full refund. Otherwise, we don't refund partial months, except where the law requires it.

Price changes

We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change, and it applies from your next renewal. If you don't want the new price, cancel before then.

Failed payments

If a payment fails and isn't fixed, your plan ends. The next section explains what happens then.

Your files stay where they are, and you can still download them with the fffd CLI or the API. You can't upload, and the drive in the app is locked until you subscribe again.

Accounts without a plan

If your account has had no plan for 90 days, we may delete its files. We'll email you at least 30 days before, so you have time to download them or subscribe again.

Storage

Your plan sets how much you can store. When you're at the limit, uploads stop until you free up space or change plans.

Deleting

A deleted file waits in the trash for 30 days, and you can restore it until then. After that, or when you delete it from the trash yourself, it's gone for good.

Downloading

Download your files at any time, as many times as you like, in the format you uploaded them.

Keep your own copies

FFFD is built to keep files safe, but it isn't a backup. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

A public file can be opened by anyone with its link, and it streams from the region nearest them. Public audio and video also appear on your profile, and anyone who opens a public playlist or gallery can open everything in it, even files you've kept private. A private file can be shared with a link that works for 6 hours, or with other FFFD users you choose. What you share, and with whom, is up to you and your responsibility.

Reasonable use

Plans don't charge for downloads or streaming. In return, we ask that you use FFFD the way it's meant to be used: to store and share your files. If your use goes far beyond that and puts the service at risk, like serving a high-traffic website or app from FFFD, we'll contact you first where we can, and we may limit that use or ask you to move it elsewhere.

Content

Don't upload, store, generate or share anything that breaks the law, infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, sexually exploits children, promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or harasses or threatens people.

Activity

Don't try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, disrupt FFFD or the people using it, resell FFFD without our permission, get around storage or usage limits, or use FFFD to distribute pirated material.

Yours

Your files stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and deliver them only as needed to run FFFD for you. That includes reading details from them, making previews and thumbnails, delivering them to the people you share them with, and showing what you've made public on your profile. The permission ends when a file is permanently deleted, except for copies the law requires us to keep.

Ours

FFFD itself, including its design, code and name, belongs to Absurd Technologies. Don't copy, modify or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows. Parts we release under an open-source license, like the MCP server, are covered by that license instead.

Ideas

If you send us ideas or feature requests, we can use them without owing you anything.

Sending a notice

If you think something on FFFD infringes your copyright, email dmca@freakingfast.io with your name and contact details, the work you think is infringed, and the link to the file. Include a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the copyright or may act for the owner. Sign it with your full name. When a notice is complete, we remove the file or disable access to it and tell the person who uploaded it.

Counter-notices

If your file was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address. Include your name, address and phone number, the file and where it was, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake. Add that you consent to the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any court where we can be found) and will accept service from the person who complained, and sign it. We pass it on to them and restore the file in 10 to 14 business days, unless they tell us they've gone to court.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Reporting

To report something on FFFD that's illegal or breaks these terms, email support@freakingfast.io with the link and what's wrong with it. Copyright complaints follow the process above.

What we do

We don't browse your files. We act on reports, and if something breaks these terms, we may remove it and suspend or close the account. When we do, we'll tell you why and how to appeal, unless the law or someone's safety stops us. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as US law requires, and may report other illegal content to the authorities.

You

Stop whenever you like. To delete your account and all your files, email support@freakingfast.io and we'll do it within 30 days.

Us

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, act fraudulently or don't pay. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you time to download your files, unless we need to act at once to protect FFFD or others, or to comply with the law.

What lasts

The parts of these terms about content rights, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity and disputes still apply after the agreement ends.

Before starting a legal claim, email legal@freakingfast.io and give us the chance to sort it out. Most problems can be solved that way.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, in the United States, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware. If you live in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of your local consumer law, you can bring a claim in your local courts, and we can only bring claims against you there. Wherever you live, you keep any consumer protections your law doesn't let you give up.

The whole agreement

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about FFFD.

If part fails

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.

No waiver

If we don't enforce part of these terms, we haven't given up the right to.

Transfer

You can't transfer these terms to someone else without our agreement. We can transfer them, for example if Absurd Technologies is sold.

Other companies

FFFD relies on other companies for hosting, storage, payments, email and AI models. Their own terms cover their services.

Things outside our control

We're not responsible for failures caused by things we can't reasonably control, like an outage at one of the companies FFFD relies on.

Sanctions

You can't use FFFD if US export or sanctions laws forbid it.
